Professor Dr. Upma Gautam said on the NCRB report that Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made historical reforms in crime control and judicial transparency. People have increased trust in police and justice system.

Dr. Upma Gautam, a renowned law expert and professor of Criminal Law, has praised the reforms in the law and order of Uttar Pradesh, reacting to the latest report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). He said that this report is proof that UP has achieved historical achievement in the field of crime control under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
UP’s strong performance showed in NCRB report
According to the latest NCRB report, Uttar Pradesh has recorded a significant improvement on the crime control front. Crime rate has declined in many major categories. Earlier, questions were raised on UP about law and order, now this state is becoming an example of crime control and judicial transparency. Dr. Upma Gautam said
I can say that NCRB data is a mirror of law and order of any society. It is clear from these data that crime reporting has increased in UP, which is not a fear but a symbol of the increased belief of the public.
He said that now people are trusting him instead of being afraid of police and justice system – this change is a positive result of the policies of Yogi government.

The investigation process became more transparent and simple
Dr. Upma Gautam, which G.G.S.I.P. The university (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) is a famous professor of Criminal Law, stated that the process of reporting and investigation has become quite simple and transparent compared to before before the new Criminal Law – Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Indian Justice Security Code (BNSS) came into force. They said
There is no longer a situation like evasive or ‘shoe to be shown’ in filing a complaint. State agencies are taking every complaint seriously, which has increased confidence in the justice system in ordinary citizens.
Dr. Gautam said that this reform is not only administrative change, but a real change from public participation and transparency of the system.
Decline in crime rate: proof of ground improvement
Dr. Gautam said that if the crime rate per lakh population is compared to the national average, then the performance of Uttar Pradesh is now among the best states in the country. He said-
This improvement is not just a game of data, but a sign of real change at the ground level. This time the performance of Uttar Pradesh is significantly better than the previous year.
Concrete steps in crime control and law and order
Based on his two decades of experience in the field of criminal law, Dr. Upma Gautam said that the Yogi government has taken several concrete steps for crime control and law and order reforms. He informed- Efforts such as smart policing, technical surveillance system, Mission Shakti Abhiyan for Women Safety and strict action on criminals have established Uttar Pradesh as a safe and reliable state.
Uttar Pradesh image gets new direction
Dr. Gautam said that the credit for this achievement goes to the awareness and cooperation of the people of the state not only, but also the people of the state. They said
Public participation, police administration’s activism and transparency of judicial process together have given a new direction to the image of Uttar Pradesh.
According to him, today UP is becoming an example for the country not only on the law and order front, but also in terms of judicial reforms and public confidence.
