SSC CGL Tier 1 Answer Key 2025: There is big news for lakhs of candidates appearing in SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2025. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) can release the Answer Key and Response Sheet of Tier 1 exam today i.e. on 16 October 2025. After the release of answer key, candidates who appeared in the examination will be able to check and download it.
How to check SSC CGL Tier 1 Answer Key?
- First of all the official website of SSC ssc.gov.in Go to.
- Click on the Answer Key tab in the Latest News section on the homepage.
- Click on Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier 1) 2025 Answer Key link.
- Login with your roll number and password or registration ID.
- The answer key will appear on the screen. Download and save it.

How to lodge objection on answer key?
After the release of the answer key, if any mistake is found in any question and its answer, then the candidates can lodge objection on the answer key within the stipulated time. For this, the fee fixed by SSC will have to be deposited and details will have to be entered in the given format and evidence or reference will also have to be given.
How many candidates appeared in SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2025?
- CGL Tier 1 exam was completed in 15 days.
- About 13.5 lakh candidates appeared in this examination conducted at 255 centers in 126 cities.
- A total of 28 lakh candidates had registered for the examination.

What happens next after SSC CGL Tier 1?
SSC CGL i.e. Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam is completed in four steps. If you have given Tier 1 (First Stage), then the successful candidates in the further process get a chance to appear in the next stage i.e. Tier 2 exam. Tier 1 marks are not added to the final merit, it is only qualifying in nature. The real competition starts from Tier 2 Main Examination.
Tier 2- Main Exam
Tier 2 exam is conducted on computer (in CBT mode). There are different papers in it, according to the post-
Paper 1: Maths, English, Reasoning, GK and Computer for all candidates
Paper 2: Statistics, only for JSO post
Paper 3: Finance and Economics only for AAO post
Only the one who scores well in this examination gets selected for the future.
Document Verification
After Tier 2, the candidates who qualify are called for Document Verification (DV). During this, you have to show all your important documents, like –
- Marksheet of 10th and 12th
- graduation certificate
- ID Proof
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
Final Merit List
The final list is made only on Tier 2 marks. That means Tier 1 marks are used only for qualifying. According to the merit list, the candidates are given the job as per their post and preference which they filled in the form.
Joining and training
When your name appears in the final list, the concerned department like Income Tax, CAG, Railways, CBIC etc. sends you the joining letter. Then after medical test and document checking, your joining and training starts.
