In a cabinet meeting held under his chairmanship, Trump warned that 10% tariff will be imposed on BRICS soon.
When asked what will happen to India’s important business partner India, which is part of the Global South Block, Trump said that being a part of BRICS, New Delhi would be no exception. Trump said that if India is in BRICS, he would have to pay 10 percent tariffs as the BRICS was installed to harm us; The BRICS was established to weaken our dollar. The US President once again alleged that the BRICS is “trying to destroy the dollar”. However, he also said that he does not consider this block to be a real threat to the US.
Threat of tariff on BRICS?
A report published in Reuters said that the new tariff danger on the BRICS would not apply immediately. Rather, this will be applicable only when any country associated with this group will take specific policy steps considered “anti-America”. BRICS describes American tariff as ‘illegal and arbitrary’

Tariff policy may increase further
