Iran has ruled out any peace talks with the US. He described President Trump’s claims of positive talks as ‘fake news’. According to Iran, America is spreading such rumors to influence the oil market.
Tehran: Iran has completely rejected reports of easing tensions with America and Israel. Iran has clearly said that no peace talks have taken place with US President Donald Trump. Earlier, America had claimed that ‘positive progress’ has been made in the talks aimed at completely ending the conflict with Iran. After two days of discussion, President Trump said that he was giving Iran another chance for peace.
Trump also said, “There are talks going on with Iran to determine if a major deal can be reached. This time Iran is taking things seriously. They want a deal, they want peace.”
But, Iran says that no such talks are taking place with America. The speaker of the Iranian Parliament has called Trump’s claims ‘fake news’. Iran alleges that America is trying to manipulate markets like crude oil by spreading such false news. In fact, in the hope of averting the war, there was some relief in the markets around the world and oil prices also came down. According to Iran, this is America’s real objective.
Trump had claimed that good progress has been made in talks with Iran. He also announced that Iran has been given five more days to open the Strait of Hormuz and during this period Iran’s power plants will not be attacked. Trump had written on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’ that he has given orders to the Defense Department in this regard. However, Iran’s state media says that in reality the US President had to step back after a strong warning from Iran. The Iranian News Agency has reported that there have been no talks with Trump from Iran’s side.
