Bengaluru: A heartbreaking news has come from Bengaluru. Here, an engineer’s daughter-in-law committed suicide after a fight between her mother-in-law and daughter-in-law over a trivial matter like cooking. The woman who committed suicide has been identified as 35-year-old Sushma. Sushma was married to Puneet Kumar 5 years ago and they also have a 4 year old son. Sushma earlier worked as an engineer in Dell company.

It is being told that there were often fights in the house between mother-in-law Kalpana and daughter-in-law Sushma on small matters. There was a lot of bickering between the two especially regarding cooking. On Tuesday evening too, a fight started over the same issue, which escalated so much that Sushma took this dreadful step. Sushma’s family members allege that mother-in-law Kalpana did not allow them to cook and used to harass them daily on some pretext or the other. Because of this, fed up, Sushma committed suicide by hanging herself.

After the incident, Sushma’s family members have lodged a complaint with the police. He has also accused Sushma’s husband of harassing her for dowry. On the basis of the complaint, the police have arrested the husband. Meanwhile, mother-in-law Kalpana is absconding after the incident and the police is searching for her.
