Priyanka Chopra joined the celebrities who mourned the passing of Dolly Parton. Musicians, actors, and public figures worldwide have offered emotional tributes to Parton, remembering her not only for an extraordinary music career but also for her warmth, humour, and philanthropy. Parton died on August 25, 2026, at age 80. Her family confirmed her death, saying she died peacefully in Nashville after a short battle with cancer. Her demise ends one of the most remarkable careers in popular music. Priyanka took to her Instagram Stories to honour Parton, showing her appreciation for the country music legend.

On August 26, Priyanka took to Instagram Stories to pay tribute hours after news of   broke. Sharing a clip from one of her past interviews that highlighted Parton’s humour and wit, Priyanka wrote in the text, “You’re never going anywhere…forever with us… rest in peace #DollyParton.” The Bollywood star-turned-Hollywood diva’s post came amid a slew of tributes from stars across the entertainment industry.

 ‘s death in Nashville was announced by her nephew Bryan Seaver in an emotional video, and her representatives confirmed later that she had been battling cancer. Shortly before her death, the singer had been talking publicly about health problems. In an interview published days earlier, Parton said she had been dealing with health issues, but was committed to continuing her work.

Parton rose from a poor upbringing in Tennessee to become a global country music star, songwriter, actor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
