Dog bites can cause more than rabies: Almost every day we keep listening to the news of cutting some stray dog people. In view of all these cases, the Supreme Court has ordered that all stray dogs of Delhi NCR be caught and shifted to Shelter Homes. The court said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the people. Which is also ordered to follow strictly. Many people are also happy about this decision of the court because no vaccine is put on any kind of vaccine to stray dogs roaming the streets. Then if a person becomes a victim of these dogs, then one has to face a deadly disease like rabies.
The disease that is the highest first by dog bite is rabies, if you do not get vaccinated, then it can prove to be fatal. Recently, a player has also died due to rabies. However, dog bites are not only rabies but also some diseases which are quite dangerous.
Pus (purulant) infection and bacteria
Dr. NR Rawat of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, says that through the injury caused by the bite of the dog, a bacterial body of the dog enters the body of a person suffering from it. The name of this bacteria is Capnocytophaga Canimorsus. This bacteria is more deadly in those whose immunity is weak, such as elderly, diabetes or cancer patients. These bacteria spread infections in the body, which cause serious symptoms such as- swelling and skin starts red as it is in place of injury or cutting. This infection can be fatal if not getting timely treatment.
Sepsis
If the dog’s bitter cut is not cleaned thoroughly or the doctor is not shown on time, then the bacteria can also spread to your blood arteries, which causes sepsis. This situation can create crisis like drop-drop blood, artery block and organ failure. The reason here is not like a normal cut, there is a fatal threat in it.
How to be safe?
- Do not take any dog-boy lightly. Clean the cut organ with medical treatment.
- If the cut is installed, then wash the sprinkled space with clean-water and soap.
- If you see any redness, pus or swelling, see the doctor immediately.
- If the tetanus vaccine is deleted, do not forget to take his booster.
- If you see symptoms like burning, fever or weakness around the dog-bit, consider them a warning of sepsis.
