Sign of migraine: Headache is a common thing, but when this pain is repeated, in the same way and in special time or circumstances, then it is not right to take it lightly. Many times it is not a normal headache but a migraine. A neurological condition in which a part of the head causes severe beating pain and many times symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, lights and discomfort are seen with it. Migraine can occur at any age and women are more at risk than men.
Symptoms of migraine are different from normal headaches. It often has severe pain on one side of the head, which can remain from a few hours to several days. Many times there are problems such as visible bright lights or spots in front of the eyes, nausea or vomiting, tightness in the neck, dizziness, fatigue and sound or bay light irritation. Some people receive warning indications before migraine starts, while some suddenly begin to pain.
What is migraine?
Migraine is a chronic neurological disorder in which the person has a sharp beating pain on one or both heads of the head. This pain can remain from a few hours to several days. Migraine pain is often felt near the eye, near the temple or near the neck and can accompany problems such as nausea, vomiting, light and sensitivity to voice.
Common migraine symptoms
– Fast or beating pain on one side of the head
-The light, loud voice or fragrance
– Nausea or vomiting desire
– Shiny spots or light visible in front of the eyes (Aura)
– Tiredness or dizziness
– Neck tightness or heaviness
-Difficulty in speaking or thinking (sometimes)
Why migraine pain is-
There can be many reasons behind migraine. Lack of sleep, too much stress, unbalanced routine, staying empty stomach, hormonal changes (especially in women), some special food items like chocolate, cheese or processed foods, changes in weather, more caffeine or screen time can trigger migraine.
Home and lifestyle measures to avoid migraine
1 regular and full sleep (6-8 hours)
2 Do not be hungry, have a balanced diet on time
Limit 3 screen time, especially late night
4 Avoid strong light or strong smelling environment
5 Reduce stress with yoga, pranayama and meditation
6 Relax in a cool dark room as soon as the pain starts
7 Some people get relief by placing a cold bandage or ice pack on the head
Stop distance from 8 migraine trigger foods like chocolate, cheese, processed meat, caffeine etc.
When to get migraine investigated-
If migraine is happening frequently, home remedies are not getting relief or serious signs such as disturbances in view, speaking difficulty, numbness or fainting are coming, then the doctor should be contacted immediately. Complete treatment of migraine is not possible, but its impact can be reduced to a great extent by identification and prevention at the right time.
