A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. Where a private hospital has been accused of cheating millions of rupees from his family by showing treatment of a dead newborn for 22 days.
The case reminded the film ‘Gabbar’, in which something similar was shown – where a dead person was treated and collected money from family members.
What is the whole matter? According to family members, the innocent child was seriously ill, who was admitted to a private hospital in the district for treatment. Initially the treatment was started with Ayushman Bharat Card, but later the hospital management started the demand for cash payment by shutting down the card.
The family alleges that the hospital alleges that the hospital kept it in the ICU and kept showing false treatment even after the child died. About 2 lakh rupees were charged from the family in the name of treatment. When there was no improvement in the child’s condition, the family appealed to the doctors to refer to a big hospital several times, but the doctors did not listen to them. He was only worried about money, not the child’s life.
Jewelry and mortgaged land sold under compulsion The child’s parents put everything at stake to save their son’s life. When the money was over, he mortgaged his land. Even the mother had to sell her body jewelry so that the cost of treatment can be paid. The family says that if the doctors had referred them in time, then their child would have survived. But the doctor and the hospital administration only worried about money.
What did the administration say? When the CMO (Chief Medical Officer) Rajiv Nigam was talked about this entire matter, he said that if a complaint is received in this regard, an investigation team will be formed and strict action will be taken.
Questions stand – There is no monitoring system in the hospital that can stop such cases in time? – If the child was dead, why was his treatment continued? – After the treatment of treatment under Ayushman scheme, why was cash taken in the middle and took cash?
