Why is Dev Diwali celebrated?
Dev Deepawali is also called Diwali of the Gods, because it is believed that on this day all the Gods and Goddesses incarnate on earth and celebrate the festival. Religious belief is that on this day Lord Shiva saved the universe by killing the demon Tripurasura and in the festival all the gods appeared in Kashi.
