Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Govardhan Puja at Tilakeshwar Mahadev Temple in Ujjain and gave the message of cow service. Said- Diwali is meaningful only when farmers and cattle are prosperous. Madhya Pradesh government is running many schemes in the interest of farmers and cowsheds.
Bhopal, 21 October. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Ujjain on Tuesday, where he performed Govardhan Puja in the cow shed located at Tilakeshwar Mahadev Temple. He duly worshiped Mother Cow and gave the message of the spirit of service by participating in the huge cow-annakoot. The Chief Minister said that “cow service and respect for nature are the core of our eternal tradition, which is reaching every person in the entire state today.”

The Chief Minister said that our eternal culture teaches us to always be connected to nature. Mother cow takes care not only of her calf but also of the entire human society. The Gopal form of Lord Krishna is a symbol of this feeling. He said that the celebration of Diwali is complete only when we ensure the progress of our farmers and cow progeny. For this purpose, the government is giving more grants to cow sheds and is also providing financial support to those who want to increase milk production.

Farmers are getting full support from the government
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously taking steps to strengthen the economic condition of farmers.
- The work of increasing the irrigation area through river linking campaign is going on.
- Under Surya Ghar Yojana, farmers are being given up to 90% subsidy on solar pumps.
- Soybean Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana will establish a balance between farmers and traders.
He said that these schemes will not only help in increasing production but will also pave the way for self-reliance of farmers.
Farmers’ income will increase through food processing and food park
The Chief Minister said that the government is promoting food processing units. Along with the production of various crops, grant money will be given for setting up processing units. With the proposed food park in Malwa region, farmers will get better prices for their produce and traders will also get a stable market.
“Vocal for Local” will get more strength
Dr. Yadav said that local products are being promoted in the state under the “Vocal for Local” campaign. The aim of the government is to strengthen the rural economy at the local level. He appealed to all citizens to use local products and imbibe the indigenous culture.
Chief Minister wished Govardhan Puja
At the end of the program, the Chief Minister consecrated Tilakeshwar Mahadev and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the state. He said that “Goverdhan Puja inspires us to achieve harmony between nature, animals and humans.” In the program, Mandi Traders Association President Jitendra Aggarwal welcomed the Chief Minister and presented him the statue of Mother Cow.
