10-day festive skin plan: When you adopt this 10-day routine before Diwali, your skin will not only have a face-after effect but will also glow from within, that too without filters or glitter.
During Diwali festival, everyone wants their skin to look absolutely glowing but makeup and highlighters provide only superficial glow. Because real glow comes from within. In such a situation, nutritionist Sakshi Lalwani has recently told a nutritional diet routine 10 days before Diwali which you must try, so that your skin looks perfect and healthy on the festival day. The basic mantra of her advice is ‘Your kitchen is your best beauty lab this season’, that is, instead of relying on beauty products, it is better to prepare ourselves with food and drink. Know here the 10-day Diwali pre-plan and some special tips.
Start your morning with a morning glow shot
Use this power drink every morning for 10 days before Diwali. Take 1 teaspoon amla juice, ½ teaspoon aloe vera juice, lukewarm water and a pinch of turmeric. Amla is rich in vitamin C, which promotes collagen formation and controls free radicals. Aloe vera soothes the stomach and provides moisturizing support to the skin. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties, which improves the complexion and gives more glow to the skin. Drink this drink on an empty stomach, it will start your day with both detox and energy.

Mid-Morning Glow Snack
If you want to eat something light during tea and snack time instead of filling things, Sakshi Lalwani suggests choosing soaked pumpkin seeds (1 tsp), handful of walnuts and guava. Guava balances Vitamin C and promotes collagen synthesis. Walnuts and pumpkin seeds contain omega-3 fatty acids and zinc, which strengthen the immunity and barrier of the skin.
evening detox drink
Have a warm detox drink in the evening, which Sakshi Lalwani considers essential for every day. Take cumin, coriander seeds and fennel seeds in it. Boil these three spices in water and reduce it to half. This drink especially helps in liver detoxification. Because when you eat delicious food during festivals, the liver also gets tired and only a healthy liver gives glow to the skin. This drink can be helpful in reducing facial puffiness, pigmentation and acne.

Choose gum katira in special tips
Sakshi Lalwani tells that Gond Katira (edible gum) is helpful in maintaining hydration and moisture of the skin. It is easy to make, soak Gond Katira in water overnight. Mix it in rose water in the morning. Add basil seeds to it and squeeze the juice of one lemon. It reduces skin inflammation and gives glow to the skin.
skin friendly lunch tip
The lighter and more nutritious the food in the first 10 days of Diwali, the better. Sakshi Lalwani says choose moong dal khichdi, sautéed spinach or fenugreek and 1 tsp ghee. It makes the skin youthful and is best for mild digestion. Moong dal is rich in protein and easy to digest, spinach is rich in chlorophyll and antioxidants, and ghee is a source of fat and vitamins A, E.
Lots of water is necessary for hydration
An important part of this entire 10 day plan is to drink adequate amount of water. Skin needs moisture and if you do not take enough water then this plan will remain incomplete. Include 2.5–3 liters of water daily or hydrating drinks like lemon water, coconut water.
