Clean brass utensils with ketchup
This sounds a bit strange to hear, but this method is scientifically effective as the ketchup contains tomato acid and vinegar, which slowly dissolves the upper frozen layer of metals like brass or copper.
Method:
- Put a thin layer of ketchup on the entire vessel.
- Leave it like this for 10–15 minutes.
- Then rub light hands with a soft cloth or sponge.
- Wash with lukewarm water and dry it immediately.
The acid present in the ketchup dissolves the frozen layer of brass and the utensils start glowing again.
Lemon juice and baking soda cleaning
This is a completely natural method and makes utensils shiny. How to clean brass utensils- Firstly, make a paste by mixing lemon juice and baking soda. Apply this paste on a brass vessel. Then leave for a few minutes. Then rub it with a soft cloth. Wash and dry it with lukewarm water.
Remedy for very black brass utensils
If the utensils have turned too much black, then you can try and clean the way to boil a little. First of all, add water, 1 cup vinegar and 1 teaspoon salt in the pot. Then put the pot in this mixture and boil it. Let it cool down, then clean it with a sponge. Wash and dry it with lukewarm water. The utensils will shine completely.
