According to the Panchang, this time the Amavasya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month will start from 03.45 pm on Monday, October 20 and will continue till 05.54 pm on Tuesday, October 21. In this way, the coincidence of Kartik Amavasya date will not last for 1 but for 2 days.

Diwali festival will last for 6 days
This time the Amavasya date of Kartik month will be for 2 days and Diwali festival will be for 6 days and not 5. This 6-day long festival will start from Dhanteras on 18th October. After this, there will be Roop Chaturdashi on 19th October, Diwali on 20th October, Snan-Daan Amavasya on 21st October, Govardhan Puja on 22nd October and Bhai Dooj on 23rd October.
