What is the meaning of Disha Shool?

For this reason, it is said that one should always check the direction in which the colic is today before leaving the house for any important work or on a long journey.

According to belief, every day of the week Disha Shool is felt in a particular direction. It is not right to go in the direction in which there is a thorn. • Thursday is considered to be the day of south direction, hence it is inauspicious to travel in this direction on this day.
• Friday and Sunday are considered shool in the west direction, hence one should try to avoid traveling in this direction on both of these days.
