Discussion in the meeting of CM Mohan Yadav – State government sensitive to make SC-ST schemes more effective

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is continuously working for the social, economic and educational development of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes. Review and improvement of the schemes were discussed in the meeting with the Central Parliamentary Committee.

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is making continuous efforts for the social, economic and educational development of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes. The aim of the government is to extend the benefits of welfare schemes to every eligible person. He informed that the government is sensitive to various suggestions and is always ready for innovations to make the schemes and programs more effective.

Discussion held in the meeting with the Central Parliamentary Committee

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said these things during the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence. Members of the Central Parliamentary Committee constituted for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Tribes under the chairmanship of former Union Minister of State Faggan Singh Kulaste were present in the meeting. The Chief Minister had a detailed discussion with the committee members on the progress of the schemes and their impact.

Kulaste said – Review of schemes continues at field level

Central Committee Chairman Faggan Singh Kulaste said that the committee is evaluating the ongoing schemes for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes at the field level. Its objective is to increase the efficiency of the schemes and ensure reach to more and more beneficiaries. He said that the committee is also assessing the progress of representation of employees in the service and welfare activities being carried out for them.

Dialogue with local communities and report will be presented in Parliament

Kulaste said that the committee has communicated with local communities, administrative officials and public representatives in various districts. The report being prepared by the committee will soon be presented in Parliament, so that further policies can be improved.

Central Committee remained on two-day stay

The Central Committee remained on a two-day visit to the state. The committee included Rajya Sabha MPs Mithlesh Kumar, Mamata Thakur, Sumitra Balmik, Devendra Pratap Singh, Phulo Devi Netam, Ravangara Narjari, Lok Sabha MPs Harish Meena, Arun Kumar, Protima Mandal, Jagannath Sarkar, Govind Karjol, D. Prasad Rao and Vishnu Dayal Ram.
