‘Dirty PR Games’: Sandeep Reddy Vanga Seemingly Reacts To Reports About Deepika Padukone’s Exit From Spirit

Spirit director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has seemingly taken a dig at Deepika Padukone amid circulating reports that the actress opted out of the film due to discomfort with bold scenes. On Sunday, Vanga posted a sharp statement on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “#Spirit: It’s very funny to read articles citing ‘sources’ who are neither connected to the artist nor the production house. These ‘so-called sources’ are cooking up stories for clicks. #Spirit has bigger things to offer than just a ‘few seconds of intimate scenes’. Wait for the official announcement from us. Stop these dirty PR games.”

While Vanga didn’t directly name Deepika, his post came shortly after a viral report claimed she exited Spirit—starring Prabhas—because she was uncomfortable with its explicit content. The film, announced in 2021, is being produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. It marks Prabhas’ 25th film and will be Vanga’s next project following Animal.

Earlier, speculations had suggested that Deepika was initially roped in as the female lead for Spirit
