Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for singer Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert at Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium on Lodhi Road.
The advisory details several route diversions and restrictions to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety.
From 1 PM to midnight, key roads including Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg will see traffic disruptions. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys carefully and follow traffic instructions to avoid congestion. Specific diversions are in place: vehicles from Lodhi Road heading towards Dayal Singh College Road will be redirected to the Lodhi Flyover. Similarly, those approaching JLN Stadium from Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and Bhishm Pitamah Marg will face diversions towards alternative routes like Meharchand Market and Lodhi Colony.
Concert-goers are strongly encouraged to use the Metro. Both the Violet and Yellow Lines will be fully operational. For the Violet Line, attendees can deboard at JLN Stadium or Jangpura Metro Station to access Stadium Gates 13, 14, and 17. Yellow Line users can deboard at INA Metro Station and take a cab or auto to Kushak Nala Bus Depot red light for Gates 3, 6, and 8.
Three designated pickup and drop-off points for cabs and autos are Arch Bishop Marg, Lal Masjid-Pragati Vihar, and Kushak Nallah Bus Depot red light, providing access to different stadium gates. Ambulances and emergency vehicles will be given priority. The public is urged to cooperate with police and report any suspicious activities. This advisory comes after initial security concerns were addressed, leading to the concert receiving final permission.
