Digvijay Singh’s big claim on deaths due to cough syrup in MP, ‘the whole matter is worth Rs 945 crore’

Former Chief Minister of the state and Congress Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh has made a big allegation on the state government regarding the recent tragic death of 26 children due to poisonous cough syrup in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.

Today, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh made many shocking revelations while holding a press conference in Bhopal regarding the growing fake medicine (cold cough syrup) business in Madhya Pradesh and the country and the death of innocent children. He also told how this business of poison is being run and with whose connivance. 26 children died in Chhindwara Parasia

While disclosing on the syrup, Digvijay Singh said that in the 26 children who died due to consumption of cough syrup in Chhindwara Parasia since September 2, the amount of Diethylene Glycol (DEG) was found to be 48.6%, whereas its safe limit should be only 0.01%. Digvijay Singh asked the State Health Minister that if the investigation now proves that poisonous chemicals were found in the syrup, then should the Health Minister continue in his post.

Pharmaceutical companies donate through electoral bonds

Digvijay Singh made a big allegation on BJP and claimed that the pharmaceutical companies which sold poisonous medicines are getting protection from the BJP government at the Centre. Because these poison manufacturing companies provide election funds to the ruling party at the Centre. He said that pharmaceutical companies have donated a total of Rs 945 crore to BJP through electoral bonds.

Heartbreaking incident left many mothers’ laps empty

Digvijay Singh said that this heart-wrenching accident has exposed the negligence taken by the Central Health Ministry and the State Health Ministry at every step. An impartial investigation into this brutal incident that has left more than two dozen mothers desolate should be done and action should be taken against those responsible.
