A 5-year-old boy got trapped inside his flat in Gurugram’s Sector 62 after it was auto-locked. Going to the balcony for help, he fell from the 22nd floor, resulting in his death. This accident happened when he was alone at home.
Gurugram: A five-year-old child died tragically after falling from the balcony of the 22nd floor of an apartment in Gurugram, Haryana. The incident took place at Pioneer Presidia Apartment in Sector 62. The name of the child who died is Rudra Tej Singh (5). Rudra was returning to the flat after playing with his friends. There was also a woman working in the house with him. As soon as Rudra came out of the lift, he ran towards the flat. As soon as the child went inside, the main door with digital auto-lock system closed. To open the door a password was required, which the child did not know. Because of this he could not open the door. The maid was left outside and the child was trapped inside.
The frightened maid immediately informed the flat caretaker and the child’s parents. Meanwhile, scared of being alone inside, Rudra went to the balcony and started shouting loudly for help. Police said that Rudra was asking for help by climbing the clothes drying stand. Then he lost his balance and fell from the 22nd floor.
Other people in the flat came running and took the child to a nearby private hospital. But by the time they reached there the child had died. Rudra’s father is a builder and mother is a doctor. Rudra was his only son. Both were not at home at the time of the incident. After postmortem, the child’s body was handed over to the family.
