Did Suzuki Just Preview The Electric WagonR? Vision e-Sky Concept With 270 Km Range – Details

Suzuki has unveiled the Vision e-Sky concept, a compact electric car that hints strongly at what could become the electric WagonR. Revealed ahead of the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the Vision e-Sky showcases Suzuki’s next step toward affordable urban EVs with practical proportions and a claimed range of over 270 km.

At 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide, and 1,625 mm tall, the Vision e-Sky has compact city-friendly dimensions. The exterior follows a clean, upright design theme with a matrix-style LED light bar, C-shaped DRLs, and a sharp C-pillar. Its short overhangs and flat front end should lead to improved cabin space, while design elements like flush door handles, a two-tone paint finish, and blacked-out pillars give it a premium look.

A contrasting white roof, integrated roof spoiler, and aerodynamic mirrors complete the design. The proportions and details align closely with Suzuki’s kei car DNA, suggesting a possible base for a future mass-market electric hatchback. Possibly an electric WagonR?

Inside, the Vision e-Sky adopts a minimalist but technology-loaded approach. It features a unique squircle steering wheel with multifunction controls and twin digital screens that display vehicle data such as speed, battery status, and lighting information. The dashboard wraps around the front occupants, highlighted by LED accent strips. The cabin’s colour palette combines blue, purple, and beige tones. It comes with split front seats and a flat floor design. The gear selector is positioned below the dashboard, freeing up additional storage space in the centre area.

Suzuki claims the Vision e-Sky offers a driving range exceeding 270 km on a full charge. While battery and motor details have not been revealed, the concept is expected to evolve into a production model by FY2026. If launched, the model could serve as an affordable EV in Maruti’s lineup, possibly existing as the electric version of the WagonR. But we will have to wait till 2026 to see what form this concept takes.
