Did Hania Aamir Request PM Narendra Modi To Take Action Against Pakistani Army After Instagram Account Suspension In India?

A day after the Instagram accounts of several Pakistani celebrities were restricted in India, a purported post by actress Hania Aamir has surfaced on social media, triggering a wave of reactions. A screenshot of the alleged post, which criticises Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General, Asim Munir, over the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, has surfaced on social media. However, many netizens are calling the post fake and misleading.

The Instagram story in question read, “Just because of General Asim Munir’s actions in Kashmir, the entire Pakistani entertainment industry has been banned in India, and even social media accounts are being restricted.”

In another part of the post, an appeal was made to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “I respectfully request the Prime Minister of India: we, the common people of Pakistan, have done nothing wrong to India. It is the Pakistani army and Islamist terrorists who are behind the Pahalgam terrorist attack. So why are you punishing ordinary Pakistanis? Please take action against the Pakistani army and the terrorists, not the innocent citizens.”

Shortly after the screenshot began circulating on Reddit and X (formerly known as Twitter), users began questioning its authenticity.

“It’s fake. And the fact you think it’s real, makes you stupid,” read one blunt comment. Another user added, “You’d have to be seriously delusional to think that this screenshot is real. Stop embarrassing yourselves plss.”
