Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Armaan Malik’s recent vlog has sparked outrage on social media. The content creator, who often shares snippets of his family life with wives Payal Malik and Kritika Malik, faced criticism over remarks he made about Payal’s appearance and clothing choices.
Many viewers accused Armaan of being disrespectful and insensitive, particularly because Payal is two months post-partum and recently gave birth to their son, Rudra. His comments about husbands losing affection and divorcing their wives over dressing habits have not gone down well with their viewers and netizens.
Why Is Armaan Malik Facing Backlash?
The controversy began after a vlog featuring , Payal Malik and Kritika Malik surfaced online. In the video, Armaan was seen expressing disappointment over Payal’s choice of clothing during the morning hours. According to the vlog, Armaan questioned why Payal was wearing a t-shirt and half-pants despite him having purchased a new nightie for her. Payal responded by saying that she was busy taking care of their baby at night who throws up or soils himself. He said that Payal has several nannies, to which the new mother replied that while she does have help, it is she who is feeding his child.
However, Armaan’s response did not sit well with many viewers. While speaking to Payal in front of Kritika, he remarked that women often complain that their husbands do not love them, but according to him, such situations arise because they fail to maintain themselves. He further suggested that if women continue wearing casual clothes such as t-shirts and lowers, their husbands may stop loving them and could even divorce them within months. She also compared Payal to Kritika and said the latter dresses well and takes care of herself, unlike Payal.
Armaan Malik’s two weddings
Armaan Malik, whose real name is Sandeep, hails from Hisar, Haryana. He gained popularity through family vlogs and online content. His fame expanded significantly after his participation in Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 in 2024. What made his appearance particularly controversial was his entry into the show alongside both his wives, Payal Malik and Kritika Malik.
Armaan married Payal in 2011, and the couple has children together, including son Chirayu and twins Tuba and Ayan. In 2018, he married Kritika, who was Payal’s best friend, without legally ending his first marriage. Armaan and Kritika also have a son named Zaid.
Previous Divorce Controversy
This is not the first time divorce has become a topic of discussion within the Malik family. During Bigg Boss OTT 3, the family received significant criticism online, with many viewers accusing them of promoting polygamy. Following her eviction from the show, Payal revealed in a vlog that she was considering separating from Armaan due to the intense negativity directed at their family and children. She stated that she was tired of the constant criticism and wanted to protect her kids from the hate.
However, she later reversed her decision and clarified that she would not be divorcing Armaan. In a subsequent vlog, Payal shared that she preferred staying with her family rather than ending the marriage. She said that she would prefer to die rather than get separated from Armaan.
