According to reports, the man in the viral video is Arjun Sinh Mohite Patil and his son was standing beside him. The alleged incident took place inside a polling both in Akluj’s Yashwant Nagar on Saturday, as the boy could be allegedly seen pressing the button to caste a vote.

However, Mohite Patil refuted the allegations and claimed that he wanted to show the boy how the voting process works. He said, “My son wanted to see how a vote is cast and that is why I took him inside. The polling officials raised objections, but I requested them to allow him to stand next to me while I cast my vote. I do not think there is anything objectionable in this.”

Meanwhile, the BJP–Shiv Sena alliance dominated the municipal corporations polls across Maharashtra. In Mumbai, the alliance comfortably surpassed its rivals — the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) combine.
