Dhurandhar: The Revenge granted A certificate, here’s everything you must know!

Mumbai: Dhurandhar: The Revenge was granted an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The movie, releasing on March 19, is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. The total runtime for the film is three hours, forty-nine minutes and six seconds.

The Ranveer Singh movie was asked to make over 21 modifications, along with a clear mention of disturbing content and a strong recommendation for viewer discretion. The changes include several violent scenes, such as a character’s head and eye being smashed with a hammer.

The second part appears to contain more scenes involving characters consuming drugs, for which disclaimers have been inserted in those sequences. The makers have also submitted a letter for the use of a Prime Minister reference and news footage. Other modifications include corrections to the dates related to demonetisation, deletion or muting of abusive words, and duration reduction of a violent beheading scene.

Overall, a total of 94 seconds or 1 minute and 34 seconds of the footage were deleted by the CBFC.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge box office predictions

The Aditya Dhar movie is predicted to do wonders at the box office. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Trade tracker Sacnilk suggested that the film has been showing a demand across markets overseas. Premiere advance bookings in the United States have crossed approximately US dollars 982,374 across 678 locations, selling around 61,491 tickets.

Ranveer will reprise his role as Hamza, aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun will also be featured in the movie in pivotal roles.

Dhurandhar one was a massive success, earning about Rs 1300 crore globally. The movie’s success has furthered expectations in cinephiles. The film is backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.
