is currently riding high on the success of Dhurandhar 2. The actor is an integral part of the Ranveer Singh-starrer. He essays the character of Bade Sahab/ Dawood Ibrahim in the spy thriller.
After the film was released, Zoom did an exclusive interview with Danish. In conversation with us, the actor heaped praise on his co-star Ranveer, who plays Hamza Ali Mazari/ Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Danish revealed how helpful Ranveer was on set, and also shared his reaction to his transformation into Bade Sahab.
Danish Iqbal praises Dhurandhar 2’s Ranveer Singh
During this conversation, Danish called Dhurandhar 2 actor Ranveer a ‘lovely’ person. While praising his co-star, he revealed how Ranveer and Dhurandhar 2 team reacted to his Bade Sahab transformation.
“Everyone used to say Ranveer is full of energy. But when I first met him, he was so cordial and warm. When that scene was being shot, he saw me, and everyone on set was like ‘Oh my god, what is this?’ Before the make-up, he saw me. Then he saw me after makeup, and they all were like ‘ye kya hogaya?’ They are professional actors. They know what is required to carry this much makeup,” he said.
He further mentioned that his co-stars were helpful, especially Ranveer. “He was very cooperative. And after every take, he used to come to me and say, ‘brilliant, sir’. So, there is one brilliant thing which you just say for the heck of saying it. But then, you can actually feel that this appreciation and warmth, he means it. He is such a lovely and cordial person,” added Danish.

Continuing the conversation, Danish revealed he sat for 8 to 9 to transform into Bade Sahab. At the same time, it took 3 to 4 hours to remove the prosthetics. “Even on shoot days, I was a little bit worried (thinking), how will it come out. But yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the process. And he’s such brilliant director, polite person and great human being. He knows very well how to give comfort to his actors,” he stated.
