Satish Kaushik thanked by Dhurandhar 2 makers in film
Amid the growing buzz for Dhurandhar 2, a small but meaningful detail in the credits caught attention. In the ‘Special Thanks’ section of both Dhurandhar (2025) and its sequel, the names Shashi Kaushik and Nishant Kaushik appear, Satish Kaushik’s wife and nephew.
It turns out that the title Dhurandhar originally belonged to the late Satish Kaushik. This was revealed earlier by his close friend Anupam Kher, who spoke about it in a video shared after the first film’s release. In the clip, the Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge actor mentioned that the title was with his best friend and filmmaker Satish Kaushik. Anupam Kher went on to say that he felt happy seeing Shashi Kaushik acknowledged in the film, adding that in a way, his friend remained connected to the project.

Dhurandhar 2 gains praises
Soon after the movie’s paid previews made thei way to theatres on March 18, the internet was flooded with positive review of Ranveer Singh film. Stars from South as well as Hindi film industry went on to share their reviews for Dhurandhar 2 and many termed it a ‘must watch.’ Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, actors Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, SAnanya Panday, Kartik Aaryan and more have praised the movie’s filmography.

Meanwhile, actor Prakash Raj is making headlines for his reaction to South celebs praising Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2. A user on X tweeted, “Dhurandhar 2 has been praised by Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu so far. Any Bollywood star tweeted kya?” Reacting to this, Prakash Raj responded, “Signs of obligations are spreading South too… #justasking.”
He also shared a video from his home featuring the song Abhi Na Jaao Chhod Kar from Hum Dono (1961), picturised on Dev Anand and Sadhana. Along with it, he wrote, “Me… bahut door (very far) from Dhurandhar… are you #justasking.”
