Dhurandhar 2: Trade analyst Taran Adarsh calls it the ‘New Emperor’

Mumbai: Dhurandhar: The Revenge, helmed by Aditya Dhar, is the talk of the town. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media to share his opinion on the iconic film. He called it the ‘New Emperor’.

In the post, Taran stated that the Ranveer Singh movie had smashed all records. “‘DHURANDHAR 2’ IS THE NEW EMPEROR – NEW BENCHMARKS SET – HISTORIC WEEKEND… #DhurandharTheRevenge has shattered ALL records in its *extended* opening weekend,” said the analyst. 

Taran stated that the film has been performing well since the preview. He observed that the consistent performance contributed to the movie smashing all records.

 

He added, “From the paid previews [Wednesday, 5 pm onwards] to Sunday, #Dhurandhar2 remains unstoppable, facing capacity issues at several locations despite round-the-clock screenings. #Dhurandhar2 has set new benchmarks over the *extended* weekend – the hype is unbelievable, unprecedented, and unimaginable.” 

Taran shared that the film garnered the fastest Rs 300 crore and Rs 400 crore. The Hindi version of the film has garnered a total of Rs 443 crore.

Previously, the trade analyst reviewed the film as “cinema at its best”. He wrote, “The film delivers on every front — scale, drama, emotions, action, performances and impact.”

“Director Aditya Dhar returns with a vision that is bigger, sharper and far more ambitious. While the first part laid the foundation, the sequel elevates the narrative to an entirely new level. The screenplay is tightly written, fast-paced and loaded with goosebumps-inducing moments,” opined Taran.

Praising Ranveer Singh, the trade analyst described him as the “backbone, the soul and the lifeline” of the sequel.
“Ranveer Singh delivers strength, intensity and vulnerability with equal finesse,” said the actor.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge features Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in lead roles.
