Ranveer Singh headlined  or Dhurandhar 2 might have slowed down a bit in its third week but is still setting new records for Hindi cinema.

After ending its third weekend on a thunderous note by emerging the highest grossing Hindi film ever, the Aditya Dhar directorial witnessed an expected drop in business over the weekdays. Despite of the fall, Dhurandhar 2 has become the first ever Hini film to breach the Rs 1050 crore mark in India alone.

On day 21, which is its third Wednesday, Dhurandhar 2 added Rs 4.66 crore at the time of writing, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. With this, the India total of the spy thriller comes to a phenomenal Rs 1065.76 crore. The Rs 1100 crore mark is now just a few steps away and Dhurandhar The Revenge should cross it in the fourth week.

At the worldwide box office, the multistarrer is closing in on Rs 1700 crore. Dhurandhar 2 is currently trailing Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 and Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 and aims to overtake both by the end of its theatrical run.

However, Dangal, the highest grossing Indian worldwide, looks out of reach as of now. The Aamir Khan starrer sports biopic is likely to maintain its numero uno position with more than Rs 2000 crore.

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar The Revenge arrived in theatres worldwide on March 19. The sequel features Ranveer alongside R Madhava, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Despite basic a ban in the Gulf region, the film has put up an all-time blockbuster show at the box office.
