Once upon a time there lived a Brahmin in a city named Bharak. Since childhood, he was involved in violence, theft and other types of crimes due to which his Brahmatva was also destroyed. To fulfill his desires, he did not hesitate to kill innocents. A lot of time passed while doing this.

One day when that unrighteous Brahmin was roaming in the forest, he saw a businessman there. He ran towards the businessman with the intention of robbing. When the businessman saw him, due to fear he also started running here and there and started shouting loudly for help. But the cruel Brahmin caught him.
But then hearing the voice of the businessman, 4 other people came there. When he saw the businessman trapped in the clutches of that unrighteous person, he took the Brahmin hostage and handed him over to the soldiers. The soldiers beat him badly and presented him before the king. When the king came to know about that evil person, he also punished him by torturing him.
On the instructions of the king, the soldiers beat that Brahmin further and threw him in a pit. That day was Phalgun Shukla Chaturthi. Due to fasting throughout the day, he unknowingly fasted and died the next day. When he died due to Chaturthi fast, the messengers of Lord Ganesha came to take him and took Vaikuntha with them.
