Dhauraiya Assembly Election 2025: Dhauraiya assembly seat is part of Banka district and Banka Lok Sabha constituency. This seat has always been considered politically sensitive. In the initial phase, Congress and Left parties were dominant, whereas since 2005, JDU has continuously captured this seat. But in the 2020 assembly elections, RJD stopped JDU’s victory chariot and gave victory to Bhudev Chaudhary.
Election results of 2010, 2015 and 2020: The story of the data
- 2010: Manish Kumar (JD(U)) won – 40,261 votes, while RJD’s Naresh Das got 31,919 votes.
- 2015: Manish Kumar (JD(U)) again won – 68,858 votes, Bhudev Chaudhary (BLSP) got 44,704 votes.
- 2020: Bhudev Chaudhary (RJD) won -79,324 votes, while Manish Kumar (JD(U)) got 76,264 votes. The victory margin was only 3,060 votes. Other 9 candidates including LJP and RLSP also participated in this election.
Note: RJD leader Bhudev Chaudhary, who won the elections in 2020, has studied till graduation. Four criminal cases are registered against him. His total assets are Rs 1.18 crore and he also has a loan of Rs 13 lakh.
Equation of voters in Dhauraiya: Yadav, Muslim and Brahmin decide
The number of Yadav and Muslim communities is high in Dhauraiya Assembly, which decides the election results here. Rajput, Brahmin, Koeri-Kurmi and Dalit voters also play an important role. The role of women voters has also been decisive on this seat. The total voter number is around 3 lakh.
RJD stopped JDU’s victory chariot
In the 2020 elections, RJD breached the JDU fort by fielding Bhudev Chaudhary as its candidate. The competition between Manish Kumar and Bhudev Chaudhary was very tough. A total of 18 candidates were in the fray. Bhudev’s victory proved that RJD has a strong hold among the people of Dhauraiya.
