The supporters of the temple say that the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthal Rural Development Project (SKDP) of the temple took out thousands of families from the clutches of moneylenders. Where earlier moneylenders used to charge more than 60% interest, SKDRDP ended this exploitation by giving loans at just 12% interest.
