DGCA New Refund Rules 2026: There is news of great relief for those traveling by air in India. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has made important changes in the air ticket refund and cancellation rules. Now if a passenger cancels the flight ticket within 48 hours of booking, then no additional cancellation charge will be levied on him.
But this facility will not be applicable in every situation. According to the new rules, this benefit will be available only if the ticket is booked directly from the official website of the airline. This means that if you have purchased a ticket through a third party travel portal or agent, the airline will still be responsible for the refund, but the terms and conditions will remain applicable.
