Developed UP 2047: Vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, making UP a $ 6 trillion economy by 2047. Skilled youth, pucca houses, strong rural infrastructure and goal to increase farmers’ income.
“Skilled young and developed villages will become the flag bearers of rich Uttar Pradesh.” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set a target that by 2047, by making Uttar Pradesh a $ 6 trillion economy, the dream of ‘developed UP’ should be realized. This mission includes every family a pucca house, basic facilities to every village and the resolve to connect every youth with skills.
How was the picture before 2017?
Before 2017, the education and rural system of the state was struggling with chaos.
- Higher education was not employment oriented.
- Only 526 polytechnics and 2642 ITIs were being operated.
- The infrastructure of research and innovation was weak.
- There was widespread lack of facilities like pucca houses, roads, electricity and drinking water in the villages.
- Panchayats had a lack of resources and capacity, due to which the plans could not land at the ground level.

New direction of education and skill development
The Yogi government made education and skill development in accordance with changing times.
- 24 states and 49 private universities were established under the policy of “Ek Mandal, One University”.
- 3310 ITIs and 2138 polytechnic institutions are giving opportunities to the youth.
- More than 150 ITIs were equipped with modern technology in collaboration with Tata Technologies.
- 49.86 lakh tablets and smartphones were distributed, making students joined the digital age.
- More than 95 institutions were ranked in NAAC recognition and 67 in the national ranking.
Revolution in rural development
The government did historical work in modernizing the villages.
- So far, 56.90 lakh families have received pucca houses.
- 36.57 lakh houses were sanctioned under PM Housing Scheme-Gramin and 36.34 lakhs were completed.
- Widening and strengthening of 25 thousand km of roads and 1385 km new roads were built.
- 165 block headquarters connected to two-lane roads.
- Amrit Sarovar and Atal Ground Water Scheme gave a new dimension to water security.
- 24,489 Panchayat Bhawan and every panchayat got the secretariat.
Mission ‘Developed UP 2047’
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has clarified that this vision is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India 2047’.
- Villages will be a pioneer in production, productivity and export by 2030.
- Seed parks, advanced seeds, crop diversification and food processing will double the income of farmers.
- Agricultural Research and Innovation Centers will be established.
- UP will be the leading lead in milk and egg production.
- Every family will get pucca houses, modern system of waste management and social security.
- Purvanchal and Bundelkhand will be made a development model like West.
6 trillion dollar economy
The government aims to reach the economy of Uttar Pradesh by $ 6 trillion by 2047, which would be 20% of India’s estimated GDP. For this:
- The growth rate of 16% consecutive will have to be maintained.
- Skilled workforce will speed up global industries.
- Rural infrastructure and agricultural productivity will increase income and consumption.
- The per capita income will be transported to a level of Rs 26 lakh.
