Viksit Chhattisgarh: Investment proposals of ₹ 3,119 crore were announced in Chhattisgarh Care Connect program. Scheme to make more than 7,000 employment from large projects in healthcare, tourism and technology sector and to make Nawa Raipur a national medical hub.

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said in the Chhattisgarh Care Connect program organized at Omaya Garden in Raipur that the state will no longer be limited to the core sector. In the coming time, Chhattisgarh will also create a national identity in the field of wellness, healthcare and tourism.

He started his address with the best wishes of Navratri and said that GST 2.0, implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has made the country’s economy simple, transparent and fast. This has given a new opportunity to investment and entrepreneurship.

Investment Reform and is of doing business

Chief Minister Sai said that the state government has implemented more than 350 improvements in one and a half years. Now the state has entered the era of speed of doing business beyond the Is of Doing Business.

The new industrial policy has increased the trust of investors and has received investment proposals of Rs 7.5 lakh crore in just one year. They will create millions of employment opportunities.

Big investment proposal in healthcare

In the program, 11 major proposals were revealed from the healthcare area, whose total amount is Rs 2,466 crore. This will create about 6,000 jobs.

  • Ginni Devi Goyal Manipal Hospital (500 Bed) – ₹ 307 Crore
  • Neerganga Hospital and Research Center (450 Beds) – ₹ 205.23 Crore
  • Bombay Hospital (300 Bed) – ₹ 680.37 Crore
  • Maa Padmavati Institute of Medical Sciences (750 Beds) – ₹ 340 Crore
  • Four season Hospital and Research Center (600 Beds) – ₹ 302 Crore
  • Total investment of ₹ 632 crore by other institutions

Nava Raipur Medicity- National Medical Hub

The Chief Minister said that Nawa Raipur Medicity will make the state a national level medical hub. From here, not only Chhattisgarh but also neighboring states will get world class health services. At the same time, the government is also developing a pharma hub, which will ensure timely supply of drugs to the drug industry and timely to super specialty hospitals.

Investment in tourism and hotel industry

Proposals of ₹ 652 crore were received from the hotel and tourism sector in the program. These include:

  • Westin Hotel Raipur – ₹ 212.7 Crore
  • Hotel Ginger Raipur – ₹ 78 Crore
  • Inferian Hotel & Resort – ₹ 80 Crore
  • Amuseorama Amusement Park and Hotel – ₹ 80.91 Crore
  • Other hotels and resorts – more than ₹ 200 crores

The Chief Minister said that tourism has been given industry status, which will give special benefits to investors.

Total investment proposals and employment

The total investment proposal announced in the program was ₹ 3,119 crore. Of these:

  • Healthcare Sector – ₹ 2,466.77 crore
  • Hotel and Tourism Sector – ₹ 652.3 Crore

With these proposals, the state will get more than 7,000 employment and 2,800 new hospital beds.

CM Vishnu Dev Sai thanked the investors and said that this investment will make Chhattisgarh a new center of healthcare, wellness and tourism. He assured that the government will provide all possible facilities and support to investors under the new industrial policy.
