Dev Diwali Prasad Recipe: Dev Diwali, also known as “Diwali of the Gods”, is celebrated on the day of Kartik Purnima. Donating lamps at the Ganga ghats on this day has special significance. Apart from this, Lord Vishnu, Shiva and Goddess Lakshmi are worshiped on this day. It is believed that offering food has special importance in the worship of God on Diwali. Just as Diwali is the festival of welcoming Goddess Lakshmi, similarly Dev Diwali is the festival of welcoming the Gods. If you want to please the Gods on this day, then these 5 offerings Kheer, Puri, Semolina Halwa, Chana Dal, and Panchamrit should be offered to God in the puja. These five offerings are very dear to Lord Vishnu and other Gods and Goddesses, hence definitely prepare them and offer them.
1. Rice pudding
Kheer is considered the most sacred offering in the worship of Dev Diwali. Made of milk, rice and sugar, this kheer is a symbol of purity and prosperity. To make this, first thicken the milk on low flame, then add soaked rice in it. When the rice is cooked, add sugar and cardamom to it and mix the kheer well. If you wish, garnish it with almonds and cashews and offer it as a cold or hot offering. Apart from this, you can also make Makhana Kheer and offer it to the Gods.
2. Puri
Every puja offering seems incomplete without Puri. Crispy puris made of wheat flour are specially offered to Goddess Lakshmi along with kheer. Add some ghee to the flour and knead it soft. Roll small puris and fry in hot oil until golden. After the puja, distribute this puri along with kheer or halwa as prasad and consume it yourself.

3. Semolina Pudding

Semolina pudding is a symbol of simplicity in the offering of Dev Diwali. To make this, fry semolina in ghee until it turns golden, then add boiling water and sugar to it. Garnish it with cardamom powder and dry fruits and keep it in the worship plate. Every devotee likes its taste and it is easily prepared quickly.
4. Chana Dal
On the day of Dev Diwali, chana dal is also offered to Lord Shiva and Vishnu. Boil soaked lentils with turmeric and salt. Then prepare the bhog by adding some ghee and cumin seeds to it. This Prasad adds the flavor of devotion in simplicity and is distributed to all as Prasad after the puja. If you wish, you can also offer jaggery or sugar to soaked gram dal.

5. Panchamrit
Panchamrit has a special place in Dev Diwali puja. It is made from milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar. These five elements are considered symbols of Panchatattva. These are mixed together and offered to God and then all the devotees consume it as Prasad.
