From politics to silver screen
Pawan Kalyan dipped into politics early, leading the youth wing of his brother Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party in 2008. He launched his own Jana Sena Party in 2014, facing losses in the 2019 elections. Teaming with TDP and BJP in 2024, he won big and became Deputy CM.
In 2020-2022, he okayed films with Krish, Harish Shankar, Surender Reddy, and Sujeeth before the elections. Fans feared he’d retire after 2025 shoots, but this revives hopes.
Recent film wrap-ups
Pawan finished pending projects in 2025. Krish’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, completed by Jyothi Krishna, was released in July to mixed reviews. Sujeeth’s They Call Him OG hit screens in September, becoming his biggest hit ever.
Harish Shankar’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh shoot wrapped, awaiting release. No word on Surender’s old project surfaced since, amid fears over his 2023 flop Agent with Akhil Akkineni.
Fan reactions and future buzz
Fans thought Pawan’s silence meant shelving, especially post-Agent’s box office bomb. But this green signal proves the Power Star balances politics and cinema. Ustaad Bhagat Singh eyes a 2026 summer release. More details on the cast, shoot dates soon. Pawan’s dual role keeps Telugu fans hooked.
