In its latest annual 10-K filing, the company said the cuts represent about 10 percent of its total staff, reducing the headcount from about 108,000 by January 2025 to about 97,000 by January 31, 2026. Although Dell did not make any major public announcements about these layoffs, the filing reported that the company spent $569 million on severance. The company has described the move as part of its ongoing “disciplined cost management” strategy.
