Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Monday that his government will ask for permission from the Supreme Court that people should be allowed to run green crackers in Diwali. The government will present its case in writing before the Supreme Court. Instructions will be sought to ensure the use of certified green firecrackers and following the rules.

Rekha Gupta said that Diwali is one of the biggest festivals. His government has decided to knock the court in view of crores of people celebrating this festival in the city. CM said,

The Delhi government reiterates its commitment to control pollution effectively and protect the environment. To implement any directive issued in this regard, assures the Supreme Court to cooperate fully.

The use of all types of firecrackers in Delhi is banned

Explain that the court order is banned on the use of all types of firecrackers in Delhi. This order was given due to heavy air pollution in Delhi. A few days ago, CM Rekha Gupta emphasized the cultural and spiritual significance of Diwali for millions of Hindus and said that the celebration of Diwali seems incomplete without fireworks and firecrackers.
