Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued cloudy skies with more rain today, following relentless overnight showers that paralysed the national capital on Raksha Bandhan. The intense downpour, beginning just past midnight on Friday, led to widespread waterlogging, uprooted trees, and a tragic wall collapse in Harinagar that killed eight people.

The heavy rain flooded key roads, submerged residential colonies, and turned major arterial stretches into slow-moving streams, severely disrupting traffic across the city. According to IMD, temperatures on August 10, 2025, are expected to range between 28-30 Degree Celsius (maximum) and 23-25 Degree Celsius (minimum). Winds will be northeasterly at 10-15 kmph in the morning and afternoon, shifting to southeasterly at 15-20 kmph by evening.
Severe waterlogging was reported from multiple parts of the city, including Anand Parbat, Zakhira Railway Underpass, Jahangirpuri, Adarsh Nagar, Shastri Bhawan, RK Puram, Moti Bagh, Kidwai Nagar, Defence Colony Underpass, and the Pragati Maidan Tunnel. The Yamuna River also rose dangerously close to the warning level, prompting residents in low-lying areas to consider evacuating.
In the NCR, heavy showers battered Noida and Greater Noida as well, flooding roads and causing major traffic snarls. In Greater Noida West, waterlogged streets outside high-rise societies such as Gaur City 1 and 2, Supertech Eco Village, Panchsheel Hynish, Nirala Greenshire, and Ajnara Le Garden disrupted daily life. Several basements of high-rise buildings were also reported to be inundated.

On 11th August 2025, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 33 and 35 Degree Celsius, while the minimum will be between 24 and 26 Degree Celsius. Winds will blow from the northeast at 5-10 kmph during the morning, shift to northwest at 10-15 kmph in the afternoon, and later from the southeast at 10-15 kmph in the evening. The sky will remain partly cloudy with a possibility of very light to light rain or thundershowers.
On 12th August 2025, temperatures will range between 31-33 Degree Celsius (max) and 24-26 Degree Celsius (min). Winds will be westerly at 10-15 kmph in the morning, southwesterly at 15-20 kmph in the afternoon, and again westerly at 10-15 kmph in the evening. The sky will be generally cloudy with one or two spells of light to moderate rain or thundershowers, more likely during the evening or night.
On 13th August 2025, the temperature will range from 32-34 Degree Celsius (max) to 22-24 Degree Celsius (min). Winds will be westerly in the morning and southwesterly through the afternoon and evening, all at 10-15 kmph. The sky will be generally cloudy with a few spells of light to moderate rain or thundershowers, more likely during the morning hours.
On 14th August 2025, temperatures are expected to range between 31-33 Degree Celsius (max) and 22-24 Degree Celsius (min). Winds will be northwesterly at 10-15 kmph in the morning, strengthening to 15-20 kmph in the afternoon, and shifting to northeasterly at 10-15 kmph in the evening. The sky will be partly cloudy with a possibility of very light to light rain or thundershowers.
