Delhi Weather Today: Amid seasonal fluctuations, heavy rain is lashing parts of Delhi-NCR on Tuesday, causing inconvenience to working professionals and others moving out of homes for day-to-day activities.
The downpour left Sadar Bazaar in central Delhi in knee-deep water.
For Delhi and Noida, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for moderate rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, with rain expected on Thursday as well. Light to moderate showers are likely, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds.
Severe waterlogging has also affected local businesses, disrupting their daily operations and reducing customer footfall.
Light to moderate rain is forecast throughout the day in the national capital. Heavy rain was recorded in various areas between 5:30 and 8:30 am.
As per IMD, cloud cover will continue to persist, with light to moderate rain likely during the day. Temperatures will remain below or near normal.
Delhi Temperature
On Tuesday, Delhi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 25.5 degrees Celsius. The day’s temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius. Clouds will remain scattered throughout the day, with occasional sunny spells, which may cause humidity.
Delhi’s AQI Remains Low
Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 77 at 10 am on Tuesday. This is considered satisfactory. The air quality in NCR cities is also in the satisfactory to moderate category.
