After the joys of Diwali, a shadow of smoke looms over Delhi! Delhi, October 21, 2025 (ANI): Delhi’s air has become poisonous after Diwali. After the night’s sparkle, in the morning the city was seen wrapped in smoke and haze. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 259 in ITO, which is in the ‘poor’ category. People are facing problems like difficulty in breathing, burning sensation in the eyes and headache. Experts say that the smoke of firecrackers, burning of stubble and stagnation in the weather together are worsening the situation. Delhi government has appealed to the people to use less private vehicles and adopt public transport.
