New Delhi : A student committed suicide by jumping in front of Delhi Metro after writing that he wanted to commit suicide due to mental harassment by teachers. In this case, the headmaster and three teachers of St. Columbus School have been suspended. The school has taken this action keeping in mind the statement of the child’s father and the things written in the suicide note. But, the child’s parents believe that this is just for show. They say that if the headmaster and teachers are not fired, they will protest in front of the school. Parents also fear that once the matter calms down, the school management may hire them back.

More information has come to light after the death of class 10 student Shaurya Patil. In the suicide note found in the child’s school bag, he had written about the mental harassment he faced in school. It is written in the note that he took this step because of the harassment going on in the school. The suicide note also demanded action against the teachers. Shaurya Patil sacrificed his life on November 18 last year. A student who had gone to school was found dead at the metro station. His last wish was that action be taken against the teachers, so that what happened to him does not happen to any other student.

what did the child’s father say

Shaurya’s father Pradeep Patil alleged that the school teachers had been making fun of his son and misbehaving with him for almost a year. The teacher used to constantly scold, insult and mentally harass the child even on small matters. Because of this his son was under a lot of mental stress. Even after complaining to the school management, there was no change in the behavior of the teachers. On complaining, the school management even talked about expelling the child from the school. On the day their son committed suicide, the teachers scolded Shaurya and humiliated him in front of everyone when he fell on the stage during dance practice. When Shaurya started crying on stage, a teacher hurt him further by saying, ‘Cry as much as you want, I don’t care.’
