Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a prayer meeting held in his memory on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Thursday. This meeting was held in Gandhi Smriti. The PM paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi during this period.
Mahatma Gandhi Birth Anniversary: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President CP Radhakrishnan attended a prayer meeting on Thursday, remembering him on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The prayer meeting was held in Gandhi Smriti, New Delhi. This year is the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
PM Narendra Modi laid a wreath to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat. Union Minister Manohar Lal was also with the Prime Minister during the tribute ceremony. The Prime Minister paid tribute to Gandhiji in a post on X, in which he remembered his courage and the values of service and compassion.
The country running on the path of Mahatma Gandhi
PM Modi said that in his search for ‘developed India’, the country will continue to follow the path of Mahatma. The PM wrote, “Gandhi Jayanti is a day to pay homage to Pyare Bapu’s extraordinary life, whose ideals changed the direction of human history. He showed how courage and simplicity could become a means of major change. They believed in the power of service and compassion to empower people. We will continue to walk their way to create a developed India.”

By introducing the country with the concepts of indigenous and khadi, Mahatma Gandhi did not only give up the freedom movement in the life of many poor people, but also brought light up to the life of many poor people. And both Swadeshi were forgotten in 2003, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he has started a major campaign to revive Khadi in Gujarat.
