Shri Khatu Shyam ji is known for his sacrifice. Mahabharata’s warrior Barbarik is known as Khatu Shyam ji. He donated his head to Lord Krishna. After this, Shri Krishna ji gave him the boon of being worshiped by his name ‘Shyam’ in Kalyug and becoming the support of the poor and the destitute and after this he was called the ‘support of the defeated’. It is believed that Barbarik’s head was found at a place named Khatu in Sikar district of Rajasthan and his temple was built at this place, which is today famous by the name of Khatu Shyam. It is believed that whoever comes here does not go back empty handed, hence a huge crowd of devotees is seen in Khatu Shyam every day. The main railway station near Khatu Shyam Ji is Ringas, so one can reach here via Jaipur, because less trains run to Ringas from some cities. How to reach Khatu Shyam from Bareilly by road?
If you want to go to Khatu Shyam by road then from the old bus stand of Bareilly you will get a bus till Sidhi Dham. Whose fare is between Rs 600 to Rs 700, but you should know the timing beforehand, because only a few buses run from here. Many buses run to Jaipur throughout the day. Apart from this, you can also book your seat in the bus online which will take you directly to Khatu Shyam Ji temple.
How to reach Bareilly to Khatu Shyam by train?
The distance of Khatu Shyam from Bareilly city of Uttar Pradesh is approximately 648 kilometers. It takes approximately 10 to 10 and a half hours to reach Khatu Shyam Ji in Rajasthan from Bareilly by road and train. Many trains run from Bareilly Junction in a week. From which you can reach Ringas, the nearest railway station to Khatu Shyam Ji or go to Jaipur. From Bareilly to Ringas you can catch Tanakpur Durai Express which runs four days a week. From Ringas you can reach Khatu Shyam ji through public transport. There are many trains from Bareilly to Jaipur. From here also you can reach Khatu Shyam ji via roadways, but it will take you about two to two and a half hours to cover the distance between Jaipur and Khatu Shyam. Lucknow to Khatu Shyam via road
If you want to come to Khatu Shyam from Lucknow by road, then you can come by private vehicle or take a roadways bus, but roadways buses are not available directly till the court of Khatu Shyam ji. You can catch a train to Jaipur from the city bus stand. From here you can take a taxi or change bus. However, many private buses also run which you can book online.
Lucknow to Khatu Shyam, via train
The distance of Khatu Shyam from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is about 675 kilometers via Agra-Lucknow Expressway. It takes you approximately 10 to 11 hours to reach here, but depending on the timing of the train, it may take more or less time. Similarly, sometimes it takes more time due to traffic. You can take train from Lucknow Charbagh. Apart from this, direct trains are also available from Aishbagh Junction to Ringas.

Road trip from Delhi to Khatu Shyam Darbar
Through road trip, you can reach Khatu Shyam by driving directly in a personal vehicle. Apart from this you can take bus from Greater Faridabad. Here you will get a bus from Ballabhgarh stand, but you will have to know the timing of the bus, because sometimes regular buses do not run. The distance of Sikar i.e. Khatu Shyam from the country’s capital Delhi is approximately 300 kilometers via National Highway 48. It takes you 6 to 7 hours to reach here. You can catch a train from New Delhi Junction to Ringas. Apart from this, you will also get trains from Delhi Sarai Rohilla and Delhi Cantt to Ringas. Road trip from Mumbai to Khatu Shyam
The distance of Khatu Shyam from the city of dreams Mumbai is 1,229.9 kilometers via National Highway 48. You can reach here by road trip by driving for 22 to 23 hours, but the time taken will be more or less depending on the traffic and speed. Bus tickets can also be booked online from here, which you can catch from your pickup point. There is no direct roadways bus from Mumbai to Khatu Shyam. You have to board a bus to Jaipur from the nearest bus stand of your area like Borivali East, Santa Cruz, Sion, etc… and from here you can take a taxi or bus again to reach Khatu Shyam Dham.
Mumbai to Khatu Shyam, via train
One can take a train from Mumbai Central to Ringas, the nearest railway station to Khatu Shyam Dham. Apart from this, trains are also available from Mumbai Bandra Terminus, Kalyan Junction Mumbai. Some trains run daily while some run one, two, three or four days a week. You should book tickets in advance according to your timing and date. If you want to reach Khatu Shyam by taking a flight from your city, then there is direct connectivity to Jaipur. Direct flights will be available from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) to Jaipur International Airport. It takes about 2 hours. You can take a flight from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh International Airport (JAI). It will take approximately 1 hour to reach here. There is also a direct flight to Jaipur Airport (JAI) from Lucknow Airport (LKO), but sometimes you may have to take a connecting flight. It takes you about two and a half hours to reach here. You will not get direct flights from Bareilly city. For this you will either have to fly from Bareilly to Delhi and from here you can go to Jaipur.
