Delhi Mumbai Expressway Accident: A horrific road accident occurred near Pinan in Alwar district on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Tuesday morning. A car coming at a high speed hit the police van strongly from behind. The collision was so strong that the car caught fire immediately and it was burnt to ashes in a few minutes. 14 people, including seven policemen, were injured in the accident, including four children. The condition of three injured is said to be critical.

Eyewitnesses told the scene of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

  • According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place at around seven in the morning near Channel No. 120-500, when the police team from Deeg district was going to Dausa to bring a Muljim. The van had head constables Laxman Singh, Rinku Meena, Shiv Singh, Sardar Singh, Dulichand, Lokesh Yadav and Constable Vikas. The high speed car from behind hit the van strongly, causing the van overturned and the car caught fire.
  • The car had four children, two women and a man riding. Immediately after the accident, the people present in the car somehow saved their lives by jumping from windows and doors. Locals immediately informed the police and fire department. The patrolling team of the expressway reached the spot and with the help of other vehicles, the injured were sent to a close government hospital with pickup and private vehicles.

Fourteen people including seven policemen injured

  • Firemen managed the fire after about an hour of hard work. All the seven police van soldiers were injured in the accident, in which the condition of constable development is critical and they suffered a serious head injury. Apart from development, the condition of a woman riding a car is also said to be critical. Four seriously injured people have been referred to Jaipur, while the rest of the treatment is going on at Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital in Alwar.
  • After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos on the expressway and traffic was affected for some time. Police made the traffic smooth by removing the damaged vehicles. This incident has once again exposed the dangers of driving at a high speed on the highway.
