Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra reveals shocking details of attack on CM Rekha Gupta

New Delhi: The Day after a man allegedly attacked Delhi CM Rekha Gupta during a ‘Jan Sunwai’ (pubic hearing), Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Thursday said that the CM had serious physical injuries and is in a state of “shock” and is thus working from her residence.

Kapil Mishra also claimed that the attack on CM Gupta was carried out in a “planned manner” and was a part of a “well-planned conspiracy”. He said that the accused was a “professional criminal” held previously for serious offences.

Mishra, on Thursday morning, met Rekha Gupta at her residence. Coming out of the residence, Mishra stated that it was not an ordinary incident and has seriously affected the CM, both physically and mentally. He added that she, however, has been working from her residence since Wednesday.

Mishra said that the attacker is a serious offender who has around nine charges against him from cases of trafficking, liquor business and attempt to murder. “The way he carried out the attack was in a very professional manner. However, we are waiting for the outcome of the enquiry by the Delhi Police,” he added.
