The deadline for Phase 5A has been set for 2028. After government approval, work on the tender process and final design has started. It is being taken forward on fast-track mode in coordination with the Central Vista Redevelopment Project.

Demand for office space may increase in commercial areas like Indraprastha and Shivaji Stadium.
Delhi Metro Phase 5A is not just an expansion project but an effort to integrate the administrative, tourism and residential infrastructure of the city.
