Delhi judge found dead at Safdarjung residence, police probe underway

New Delhi: A judge of the Delhi Judicial Service was found dead at his residence in the Safdarjung area, police said on Saturday. His body was found hanging at his home in Green Park, after which Delhi Police and a forensic science team reached the spot to begin an investigation. The victim has been identified as Aman Kumar Sharma.

Preliminary information suggests that he died by suicide. Officials said there are no immediate signs of foul play, though all aspects are being examined as part of the probe.

Sharma had joined the Delhi Judicial Service on June 19, 2021, after completing his law degree from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, in 2018. During his tenure, he handled several criminal and civil matters across different courts.

Since October 2025, he had been posted as the full-time secretary of the Northeast District Legal Services Authority at Karkardooma Court.
