There are many areas where water is flowing on the roads like the river. The boat is running in the market. In such a situation, the disturbing thing is that the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the national capital. It is said that heavy rains are expected on September 3.

Meteorological Department issued warning of heavy rain in Delhi
The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in many areas of Delhi. Safdarjung received 19.8mm rainfall in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Wednesday. Similarly, Palam received 9.1 mm, Lodhi Road 11.4 mm, Ridge 28.2 mm and Ayyanagar received 5.7 mm of rain. According to IMD, a red alert has been issued due to the possibility of rain in the Central, East, North-East, Shahdara, South and South-East Delhi. New Delhi, North, North-West, South-West and West Delhi, as well as Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurugram in the National Capital Region have been placed on Orange Alert.

Yamuna boom, water filled in low -lying areas
The low -lying areas of Delhi have been flooded due to Yamuna being in spate. People are running to save their lives and goods. Roads have turned into drains. Boats are running in the market. Hundreds of people have to leave home, from the shopkeepers of Majnu to Madanpur Khadar and Badarpur.

The Yamuna river in Delhi is flowing above the danger mark. The Yamuna river was flowing at 207 meters at 1 pm on Wednesday afternoon. People have been evacuated from low -lying areas. The old railway bridge has been closed for traffic. Around 10,000 people have been displaced in Delhi. The Yamuna River has crossed the level of 207 meters just four times in 63 years.

Since Tuesday morning, more than one lakh cusecs of water is being released continuously from Hathinikund barrage in Haryana. It was slowly reaching close to 2 lakh cusecs by 10 pm on Tuesday night. This is expected to increase Delhi’s difficulties. This is expected to be in spate of Yamuna for the next few days.
